Your sense of calm is violently thrown into chaos as an unexpected event destroys everything you once knew and loved. Fear grips the soul, and all you can do is run from the matters at hand. There seems to be no escape – until an unexpected visitor pulls you from the shadows in which you’ve fallen into. A simple act of defense turns into a catalyst. There was never a chance to go back and change things – your only choice is to press forward.

— Part 2: Dawn’s Hourglass

Hi!

The post for Dawn’s Hourglass is a little off schedule because I’ve been drawing for 18 hours, but here it is!

yes, that is a guitar pick

On Wednesday, I printed a total of 71 pages of writing for the Dark Side Project for the purpose of spending the weekend editing them.

Two days later, totaling at over 90 pages, the Dark Side Project’s story is finally complete.

YEAH━━━(゜∀゜)━━━!!!!!

I’ll be adding all the chapters to the website tomorrow since it’s past midnight and I’m tired from writing and I honestly shouldn’t be making a blog post so late anyway…

But, this is great! I honestly can’t believe I actually managed to complete this.

It’s been a long 5 months, hasn’t it…

Anyway, for the next few days I’ll be editing up those 71 pages (I haven’t printed Part 5 or sections of Part 3, which aren’t included in the original 71, so those will have to wait.)

Then after that, it’s all drawing and composing. (Which I’ve decided to squeeze in, despite the short amount of time I have.)

It’s gonna get done. It will get done. I will be stubborn about this project because I want to finish it and it’s been really exciting and fun.

So there. Expect some updates in the next few days.

Imagine you are a child living as a half-breed in a world where humans and demons reside peacefully in mirrored realms. Everyone despises you solely because of what you are. They do not fear, but they mock and taunt. You live with only your mother, a woman whose heart shines like the sun. Your father, the source of all your thoughts, has been off at war for three years. You feel hopeless and inadequate, but suddenly duo of twin demons enter your life and perk your interest. While one is soft spoken and caring, the other is uneasy and suspicious of you. Despite a rocky start to this relationship, things seem to be changing for the better, you believe.

— Part 1: Adolescence

Hello! Happy May! (I’m three days late, but whatever.)

Above was a blurb-like summary of Part 1 of the Dark Side Project. I believe I mentioned this at some point in my final Future Thoughts post this past… Saturday(?), but if not, I’ll just state it here.

From here on out are Log posts, and they’ll (hopefully) be posted every day. The log posts that are specific to the written story will be categorized as “Log” as well as the subcategory, “Story Parts”. Each of these written-story-specific log posts will be titled as “Log: Day [#] – [Part #: Part Title] (“parts” used to be chapters, but now that I’ve begun writing part 6,  the word “chapter” no longer seems to fit well with how this story progresses). Today’s post title is an example!

These “Part” posts will basically be explanations of the story in depth, split into seven parts (since there are seven parts). I’m planning to write one of these “Part” posts every other day until the 15th of May! YEAH!

Today I’ll be talking about Part 1— its inspirations, its characters, the setting, and finally, the structure of this part (and parts to come) — as well as an overview of the overall story itself (which, by the way, has yet to receive any sort of title… I’ve just been calling it “Dark Side Project” for now, but…).

By the way, expect the end of the week, or possibly this coming Sunday as the potential full-story-completion date.

Note: These are spoiler-filled posts (obviously)! Part 1 (the draft) is already online on the website, so if you’d like, you can read it there first before you continue on with this post. (Wix is having some issues, so the end of that part will be posted later once I figure out what’s happening~)

If you’ve already read the first part, read on~

Whoops! I had queued this post for yesterday evening… but it seems I forgot to click the “Update” button. = w=; Sorry about that! This has now been queued for 9:15am Sunday as of 11pm Saturday, but WordPress has been acting up, so if it goes through any earlier than that, then sorry!

The third and final Future Thoughts series… Creative Writing~! It’s a bit late, but it’s better to get this out of the way now… It’s been a long day, anyway…

okay.

So hi. I’m back – officially. It’s been pretty hectic and crazy and stressful these past few weeks, but I’m back in Barbados… again. (This has to be the third time I’ve flown back and forth from Barbados in the past 4 months…)

I meant to make this blog post yesterday and make the final Future Thoughts post today… but I got sick. :s I pretty much just drank tea and slept until about 3pm… but I’m doing a bit better today. So, here comes some updates…

“A sickening silence tells all in ways that a vocal crowd can never describe. Things tend to come and pass as quickly as the wind. What’s happened is clear and inevitable. Yet to dwell and lament on one’s former choices for the sake of changing memory benefits no one, for it has already happened. There is nothing you can do to change the courses you took in the past. All you can do now is continue onward, despite this. Pick your head up and pull through. Those who dwell, live for degradation. While a gaping hole cannot be easily filled in an instant, it can be gradually repaired. Things take time to improve. There’s no getting around that. Inevitable events beget inevitable responses. At times like this, you just have to laugh and move on.”
